🔹 Submission Recipients

📝 Highlights of the Fourth Policy Proposal
While the term “Femtech” has gained social recognition in Japan, its implementation and widespread adoption still face significant challenges. To overcome these, the proposal focuses on the following two strategic pillars:
1. Promotion of a Multi-Channel Strategy
Establish infrastructure to ensure that essential care reaches those in need through diverse distribution channels—across medical institutions, local governments, companies, and insurers.
2. Evidence-Building and Investment Promotion
Create a system where high-quality products are not overlooked by supporting insurance coverage, postpartum care systems, and clear quality assurance guidelines.
Femtech has moved beyond being a matter of individual responsibility. It is now time to establish systems supported by society as a whole. Addressing health challenges throughout the life stages—menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, and menopause—is not only essential for improving quality of life but also deeply tied to broader societal goals: maintaining labor productivity, reducing healthcare costs, revitalizing regional economies, and combating population decline.
From this perspective, we position Femtech not merely as a matter of product promotion but as a strategic framework for revitalizing Japan.
Today, Femtech is evolving into a tool that not only responds to individual needs but also visualizes systemic issues and contributes to building a more sustainable future. For this reason, we view the integration of Femtech into society as a national strategy, to be advanced through collaboration across institutions, technologies, and cultures—with participation from government, academia, industry, and civil society.
